Tahini Slices made from a variety of Healthy Fats, including Tahini, Peanut Butter, Cacao Butter and Coconut Oil.

Tahini is a versatile fat which can be used with both savoury and sweet dishes. It is a plant based protein made from ground sesame seeds, packed with antioxidants, which can help fight free radicals and calm inflammation. Healthy fats are good for your heart and can help lower cholesterol. Tahini also contains minerals such as calcium, zinc, selenium, phosphorus and copper which all play a role in maintaining the health of your bones and immune system.

Recipe. Base
  • 200g ground almonds
  • 10 pitted medjool dates
  • 2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
  • 115g light tahini
  • 5 pitted medjool dates
Method. Base
  • Place almonds, dates, and peanut butter into a blender.
  • Transfer into a bowl and use your hands to bind it all together.
  • Place onto a baking tray and spread out using back of a spoon
  • Pop into freezer
Method. Filling
  • Heat peanut buter, coconut oil and dates
  • Blend until creamy

Remove base from freezer and spread filling on top and return to freezer

Topping (option 1)
  • 5 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 3 or 4 healped teaspoons cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
Topping (option 2)
  • 125g cacao butter
  • 1 teaspoon coconut butter
  • 3 or 4 heaped teaspoons cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Remove tray from freezer and pour topping over it and spread evenly, return to freezer for 2 hours.
